Institutional Policy on Originality Verification and the Responsible Use of Technologies
To ensure academic reliability and transparency in scholarly communication, Eduscientia. Divulgación de la ciencia educativa operates under two fundamental directives aimed at authors, peer reviewers, and the editorial team:
- Anti-Plagiarism Mechanisms
The journal employs a systematic procedure to verify the originality of manuscripts using Plagius software. Peer reviewers also have the authority to report any suspicion of text redundancy or duplication identified during the double-blind review process.
2. Limitations and Ethical Use of AI
For Authors
The use of generative AI to produce original text, formulate hypotheses, or perform critical analyses that fall under human intellectual authorship is strictly prohibited. Any technical or instrumental use (such as translation or copyediting) must be disclosed in a brief section at the end of the article, immediately preceding the references, titled "AI Use Declaration." This section must detail the software used and its specific purpose.
If these technologies were not utilized, authors must include the following verbatim statement:
"The authors declare that no generative Artificial Intelligence tools were utilized in the writing or structuring of this work."
For Peer Reviewers
Reviewers are strictly prohibited from uploading assigned manuscripts into public generative AI platforms or software. This practice violates copyright, breaches the confidentiality of the peer review process, and compromises the ethical commitments of this journal.
