Abstract

The tragic reality that human beings face before the pandemic context that is manifested throughout the planet-world due to COVID-19, which alters, worries and subsumes in anxiety and torture, which agony resembles the experiences that Edgar Allan Poe recounts in “The Pit and the Pendulum”, it is imperative to analyze it from several possible edges, one is the artistic experimentation strategy where the archetypal link thrives between an artistic work (contextualized in a past, existing or ideal) and the current reality, and another one from contemporary theories or approaches. The following lines, although brief, try to open up the analytical horizon by forging analogies and metaphors between the deep and stormy stories of the protagonist of that story and the latent reality that is currently experienced in all humanity. The analysis is enriched by the effort to find optimism shades in the humanist approach.
