Publication Ethics

If the research involves human participants, authors must ensure it was conducted in accordance with the World Medical Association (WMA) Declaration of Helsinki. Authors must include a statement within the manuscript confirming that informed consent was obtained from all individual participants. The privacy rights of participants must be protected at all times. Furthermore, all animal experiments must comply with current institutional and national guidelines and regulations.

  1. Editorial Decision-Making: The final decision regarding manuscript publication rests entirely with the journal's editors and is grounded in the evaluations provided by the peer reviewers.

  2. Originality and Rights Ratification: Each author whose manuscript is accepted for publication must ratify its originality and the proper use of citations and references to ensure no third-party rights are infringed. For this purpose, a formal cover letter must be signed and submitted.

  3. Confidentiality: The confidentiality of both authors and reviewers is strictly protected throughout the entire editorial and evaluation process.

  4. Plagiarism Screening: As part of the standard editorial workflow, all manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism detection using Plagius software, followed by a detailed review of the results.

  5. Exclusion Criteria: Any text found to contain plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or content that has been published elsewhere (in whole or in part) will be excluded from publication.

  6. Definition of Self-Plagiarism: The journal defines self-plagiarism as:

    • The reuse of one's own material without citing the previously published source.

    • Instances where such reused material exceeds 20% of the article, even if properly referenced.

    • Presenting one's own previously published research as entirely new.

  7. Retraction Policy: If a case of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or duplication is reported and verified regarding a manuscript already published in Eduscientia, the article will be formally retracted and removed from the journal.

  8. External Funding Authorization: Manuscripts resulting from research supported by external funding must obtain and present the corresponding institutional or funder authorization prior to publication.

Declaration of Interest

The corresponding author must explicitly state that there are no real or potential conflicts of interest—whether financial, personal, or otherwise—within three years of the commencement of the research work.

Subsmission Declaration and Verification

The submission of an article implies that the work described has not been previously published; that it is not currently under consideration for publication in any other journal or book; and that its publication has been approved by all co-authors and, tacitly or explicitly, by the responsible authorities at the institution where the work was carried out.

If the manuscript is accepted, it must not be published elsewhere in the same format across any print or electronic medium, in English or any other language, without the written consent of the copyright holder. To formalize this, the corresponding copyright declaration must be signed.

Changes in Authorship

The corresponding author must carefully consider the order of authorship and provide the definitive list of authors at the time of the original submission. Any requests to add, delete, or rearrange author names in the authorship list can only be made before the manuscript has been officially accepted for publication.
