Why am I a teacher? a reflection on my professional identity
Keywords:
education, educational quality, professionalization, teacher, teaching identityAbstract
This work aims to make an analysis of my practice as an educational agent to reflect on the process that has taken place in the construction of a professional identity teacher, the causes that have led me to make the decision to practice the profession, as well as all the factors that intervene in the process, through the action-research methodology proposed by Fierro, Fortoul and Rosas, (1999) and the four moments of reflection of the Smyth cycle (1994). I also reflect on the importance of professionalization and continuous training in the educational field, as the teacher as one of the main responsible for improving educational quality.
